Ring in the New Year by making a brand new Veronica Bag that gives off 1980s vibes with a modern twist. We'll join each other virtually to learn new techniques, make a fabulous bag from start to finish, and celebrate the start of 2024 together!
Once you pay the cover charge, you'll have access to the Viewing Room, where you'll watch the event on New Year's Eve. Choose the time that works for you! We'll be LIVE at 12pm noon EST, but you can watch anytime that's convenient for you after the event ends.
We'll start with machine embroidery, choosing from three totally rad designs in three types (nine design files are INCLUDED with your cover charge, courtesy of Parker on the Porch!). Choose to embroider the flat designs directly onto the bag fabric; a charm design perfect for a keyring; or a snap tab that clips to the bag strap. Ellen March from Sulky will show you how.
Jessica Barrera of Sallie Tomato will then take you through all the steps to construct Veronica from start to finish in REAL TIME. The digital Veronica pattern is INCLUDED with your cover charge!
Toast to the New Year early with fellow sewists, doing what you LOVE! And get inspired by fun 1980s throwbacks as we join you with big hair, lacy gloves and maybe even some shoulder pads!
