Patriotic Patchwork

This webcast was originally aired on May 13, 2025.

Learn to create a patriotic-themed quilted panel using a gridded stabilizer technique for perfect points, rows, and columns. Arrange precut fabrics into a tote, heart, or flag, then quilt and display as a mini quilt, wall hanging, table topper, appliqué, and more.

Register and receive a FREE "America" machine embroidery design from Sulky—perfect for embellishing all your patriotic projects!

Depending on orientation, the featured Heart or Flag panel measures approximately 18" x 22". Use the panel in myriad ways—as a focal piece on the back of a jacket, as a garden flag, as the center of a larger quilt, as a tabletop, and more!

You'll learn to create your own grid and make a piecing plan to create a heart or flag pattern.

Once you learn the main technique, you can experiment with different piecing plans and quilting styles.

Grab a kit, full of beautiful batik and low-volume white print fabrics, Sulky Threads and Stabilizer, plus high-quality, low-loft batting.

I have always wondered how to use gridded interfacing. I didn't know I could make my own. I can't wait to learn.

I have been in the American Sewing Guild for ages but didn't know we could watch things like this. Looking forward to joining!
