This webcast will stream LIVE on January 13, 2026 at 2pm ET. Register today to reserve your spot!

Treat yourself to some “me time” at the sewing machine and create a cozy, stylish top you’ll love wearing all winter and into spring! In this free webcast, you’ll learn how to sew and embroider performance-weight stretch fabrics while making the Del Mar Dolman — a versatile long-sleeve top that’s as comfortable as it is customizable.

This easy-sew top has no set-in sleeves or troublesome armscye to navigate at the sewing machine. The simple-sew construction leaves you with time to plan and stitch beautiful embroidery to make it your own. Plus, the stretchy garment has a forgiving, oversized fit that looks great on all figures!

SEW MANY OPTIONS

Choose your favorite variation: add a hood, cowl or classic crew neckline; include pockets or keep it sleek; adjust the sleeves and hemline to suit your personal style. Then, make it uniquely yours with embroidery on the center back, cascading from the shoulder, along the sleeve or all of the above!

With its buttery-soft, luxe fabric and easy construction, the Del Mar Dolman is the perfect project to jump back into sewing after the holidays. The large-scale, folk art–inspired embroidery designs add just the right touch of color and charm, creating a wardrobe essential that blends comfort, creativity and flair.

GRAB A KIT

Be sure to grab a Del Mar Dolman Kit, which includes the digital Del Mar Dolman pattern PDF with full written instructions, Sulky Poly Deco Threads for construction & embroidery, Sulky ActionBack Stabilizer and four optional Peached Performance Fabric options to add to your purchase.

Create the Del Mar Dolman on a sewing machine or serger. If using a serger, choose three or four of the included threads for a 3- or 4-thread overlock stitch. The same thread is used for construction and embroidery! If using a sewing machine, don't forget to grab a pack of Jersey Needles. If using a serger, grab a pack of EL 705 SUK Needles—these have a longer shank suitable for sergers. You'll also need Embroidery Needles for the machine embroidery embellishment.

I haven't sewn a garment in a long time but this one looks easy enough. I love the sleeve embroidery.

My first webcast was the Gingerbread Ornaments and I'm hooked. Fun way to spend an afternoon. Plus, I get inspired to sew again!
