2026 New Year's Eve Sew-Along

LIVE ON DECEMBER 31, 2026 at 12PM ET

Get ready for our BLOCK PARTY! Join Sallie Tomato and Sulky for a festive four-hour New Year’s Eve Sew-Along featuring the all-new Estee Bag and Go! Berry Medley appliqués by AccuQuilt, designed by Chris Marchetti.

We’re calling this year’s celebration "Block Party" It's a playful nod to the bold, blocky rectangle appliqués featured on the front of the Estee Bag. These geometric shapes give you the perfect canvas to experiment with color, texture, stitching, and appliqué while creating a bag that’s uniquely yours.

To add to the fun, we're layering the blocks with fruit-shaped appliqués to the bag exterior using either provided (exclusive) cutting templates or the Berry Medley Die and AccuQuilt GO! fabric cutter.

Don't worry! If you don't have a fabric cutter or an embroidery machine, you can still make this bag! All instructions will be included, no matter the method you choose for cutting or stitching. And if you prefer to omit any or all of the appliqué altogether, you can do that, too.

LET’S HAVE A BLOCK PARTY!

The Go! Berry Medley appliqués by AccuQuilt, designed by Chris Marchini, bring the perfect fruity twist to this year’s project. During the Sew-Along, you’ll learn how an AccuQuilt GO! fabric cutter can make cutting your appliqué pieces fast, accurate, and fun.

Don’t have a GO! cutter? No worries! Templates will be provided so you can precut your appliqués using traditional methods and still join the party.

Once your blocks are ready, you can choose how you want to attach them to your Estee Bag:

• Sew your appliqués onto the exterior using traditional sewing machine techniques. We'll give you thr tips and tricks for layered appliqués that don't stretch or move during stitching.
• Use in-the-hoop appliqué methods and attach the fruit of your choice using your embroidery machine. We'll show you how!
• Add as many or as few appliqués to create a custom bag. Or keep it simple and have your own party (without the "block") if desired!

Event Details

This is a four-hour live-streaming event. And, the entire class is recorded so you can view it any time after the event ends.

During the event, you will learn:

• How to prepare your Go! Berry Medley appliqués using either an AccuQuilt GO! fabric cutter or the printable templates included with your entry fee
• Traditional sewing machine appliqué techniques & in-the-hoop appliqué techniques
• Ways to customize Estee for the ultimate accessory you're sure to love
• Tips and techniques for creating a polished, professional-looking finished bag that looks like it's straight off the runway

Note: The projects and event have been designed to fit within this timeframe, but please remember that the instructors are professionals who have made (and remade, and remade again!) the projects to test and perfect the pattern and designs. Do not feel pressured to keep up with them! After the event, you can rewind, pause and fast-forward the recording to review the content at your own pace.

We'll prepare you ahead of time for a fun afternoon of sewing! After registering, you'll have access to the Event Page, where you will view the live event on New Year's Eve. That page will have helpful videos to watch before the event, so you can be sure you've prepped your materials, machine and more to be ready to go when the cameras start rolling. You'll also find a handy checklist that you can print and use to stay organized!
